Q: What is profitBIAS?
A: profitBIAS is a Business Information Analysis System that allows you to review and benchmark the performance of all major areas within your business. This is done online and benchmarking occurs against accepted industry best practices that are relevant to your business. Does your business have a profitBIAS?

Q: Why should I use it?
A: By benchmarking your business against accepted industry best practices, you can see how your business compares to the leaders of your industry sector - but more importantly you can see where you can IMPROVE your business. By doing this regularly and reviewing progress, you can drive continuous improvement within your business - you can aim to be the best in your industry.

Q: How does it work?
A: The online business review will look at the main areas of your business and generate dynamic results based on your responses, creating your benchmark score. You respond to a series of statements and grade their level of accuracy when compared to your business. The greater your level of honesty, the more useful the results gained will be to your company.

Q: What can my business improve, exactly?
A: Areas benchmarked with higher scores are probably running ok, whereas areas with lower scores are ripe for improvement. By improving lower scoring areas of the business, generally performance of the business improves. For example if you were to improve output for the same level of cost, what happens to profits?

Q: How do I use it?
A: Simple. To start the review process, create a login and respond to the statements, then see your results on screen when you have finished. Your login will allow you to return at any time and review your scores, or complete the benchmarking process again. You can complete the process as often as you like, and all your results are saved so that you can monitor the improvement in your benchmarking score. The aim is to continuously improve your business. The aim is for your business to have a profitBIAS.

Q: What areas within my business are reviewed?
A: Currently in the manufacturing review we cover the 12 main areas of a business. This includes Financial Plans, Sales, Marketing, Quality, Environment, Safety, HR, Logistics, Operations, Maintenance, IT and Research & Development for instance.

Q: What industry sectors are covered?
A: Currently we are covering the manufacturing sector, but we plan to extend this service to support all business sectors in the near future. You can suggest an industry sector if you want it to be included sooner. Sections are planned to be completed in order of demand or by sector size, largest first.
